As a lot of you will know, it’s the summer holidays and a fun day out is needed! Here, at Cwmdu Campsite we are surrounded by some fantastic upcoming festivals that provide a fantastic day out with the children, friends and family. Whether you are just simply interested in physical activities or something more gentle like exploring the history that surrounds us- we have lots to show!
Brecon Jazz Festival | 12-14 Aug 2022
Brecon is just a 20-minute drive away!
The Brecon Jazz Festival is one of the best upcoming festivals, held annually in Brecon, Wales. Normally staged in early August, it has hosted a range of jazz musicians from across the world, including Amy Winehouse. What’s better than listening to Jazz in the Brecon Beacons?
The concerts are held in various large and small venues around Brecon, including music in the streets, hotels, cafes and bars. However, if you fancied some activities surrounding the Brecon jazz festival, then there are workshops and family activities to get stuck into!

Green Man Festival | 18-21 Aug 2022
Green Man is a five-minute drive away- it’s across the road!
Another of our favourite upcoming festivals is The Green Man Festival. It is independent music, science and arts festival held annually in mid-August in the Brecon Beacons, Wales. Green Man has evolved into a 25,000 capacity week-long event, showcasing predominantly live music.
This year’s lineup includes: Beach House, Michael Kiwanuka, Bicep and Yves Tumour

Cave Fest UK | 26-29 Aug 2022
Held in Crickhowell-Â just a 10-minute drive away!
CavefestUK is the UK’s only gathering of cavers focused primarily on exploring local caves during the event. They are holding an event in Crickhowell this August to explore the caves while sharing our knowledge and ideas, creating a better public understanding of all things caving by giving more people an opportunity to take a look.
