“Staycation”
Have you ever thought, when the weathers warm in the UK it’s one of the most incredible places to be. If you have then you’re not the only one. I can say, personally I think that exact thing every year as soon as June roles around.
So here’s the great part. A ‘Staycation’ is a holiday for someone looking to take some long needed time off work does so while skiping the plane and passport. Sound interesting. A likley scenario could be, you search google for half an hour, find a campsite that’s gotten some great reviews and jump in the car. Next thing you know you’re taking that road trip you and a couple mates always talked about doing. Reverting back to simpler times where a passport wasn’t necessary but a need to go away was. Staycations are the perfect opportunities to find hidden gems in your own back garden.
Thinking why choose a campsite over a sunny beach?
Why spend £300/400 booking flights for the family or friends when you could find something closer to home? More often than not you end up at an airport for 2/3 hours before a flight. Another 2/3 flying, plus an hour transfer to get to your hotel that isn’t quite what you expected based on the photos. Now you’re stuck there for 7 days trying to fill your time with activities that burn a hole in your bank balance (Sad Face Emoji).
If that didn’t make you think twice, think about this scenario
Every year you search for ideas of places to go in every warm country that comes to mind. You look for flights in January to make sure you find the best deal before the summer comes and prices sky rocket. You find that amazing all inclusive holiday and book it right away. 5 months later creeps up on you before you know it. The weathers incredible in the UK and you think, I didn’t need to spend all that money for sun.
Now lets rewind. January 2020 is here, you’re thinking about future trips and you haven’t gone camping in years. Camping has revived itself these past couple of years. You remember hearing about that friend that spent 4 days Glamping in the Brecon Beacons last summer and absolutely loved it. The site they stayed at was incredible, scenery was incredible, and they just couldn’t stop raving about it. You’re now sitting there weighing up your options.
You search the web, find out Cwmdu Campsite in the Brecon Beacons National Park isn’t far from Pen Y Fan. Amazing, you can go on walks through the mountains and you can pitch up a tent for the first time in years. Even better they have two glamping pods you can book for up to 6 people.
Okay, so it sounds like a good idea. How much would it cost? To many customers surprise glamping pods are charged per pod rather than per person. £55 per pod is a bargain in comparison to £300/400 usually spent on flights. Now there’s more money to spend on activities enjoying yourself. Whats there to lose.
