New to 2022
The latest changes at Cwmdu Campsite will be to the team and facilities. We’re happy to welcome the addition of two new wardens, Ben & Emily that share the same positive, happy and welcoming personalities of last years team. We’re sure everyone will love them as much as we already do.
Our dishwashing facilities are being upgraded to include more space between sinks. We’ve done this to ensure everyone is comfortable and Covid safe while on site. We’ll be adding additional fridges/freezers and microwaves for guests to use. As always these facilities are available to use free of charge to all guests. Just remember they are available on a first-come basis.
Following an upgrade to the road along the right side of the site, we’ll be introducing a one-way system for better flow of movement around the site. The upgrade to the road has meant the waste disposal areas could be moved to more accessible locations across the site for ease of access. Three of our most used electric hardstanding pitches located at the centre of the site have now changed. They are now longer to accommodate caravans and vehicles up to 7.5m

More than ever, following the past year’s events, we are excited to welcome all new and old guests to our campsite. Cwmdu Campsite has been a perfect base for so many families over the past 58 years and we hope to continue the many traditions that started here. Important Campsite Information and Other Updates
The team at Cwmdu Campsite are really looking forward to welcoming you to the site this year, for camping, walks, fun and adventure!
As per the beginning of each season, we have been busy preparing the site and it is looking fantastic. This is all thanks to our great team who have been working tirelessly throughout March. We have also focused on the continuation of making our site COVID-19 safe. We have put notice signs and social distancing measures in place. Therefore, we are pleased to say that we are able to take bookings. We are currently open for self-contained vehicles and tents.
Our toilet and shower facilities remain closed until the Welsh Government lift restrictions further- we foresee this happening during May 2021. If you have your own toilet, wash facilities and kitchen facilities, you can book and visit now in tents, campervans, motorhomes and caravans!

Updates
The new ‘Kids Corner’ and ‘Nature Trail’
As many of you know, we welcome numerous families to our campsite and because of this, we have decided to create some new activities for the kids! With thanks to our new colleague, Angharad, and ‘Top Notch Carpentry’, our new ‘Kids Corner’ and ‘Nature Trail’ are two exciting projects that we are looking forward to sharing with you!
As they are both on-site, they remain safe, but provide great freedom for the kids to run around.

Road Closure Signs
We understand that the road closure signs, on route to the campsite, are misleading, but we can confirm that these signs do not affect the directions and access to our site. Therefore, please ignore these signs, as the road to our campsite is still open.
Toilet and Shower Facilities
Although we are open for caravans and motor homes, due to the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions in Wales, our toilet and shower facilities are currently CLOSED, until sometime in May.
We foresee social distancing guidelines remaining in place through much of this season and some information about the likely measures in place is provided below. If you book but cannot visit due to coronavirus restrictions, we are happy to postpone your arrival are transfer your non-refundable deposit to a later date this season or for the 2022 season.Â
We’re Good To Go
Cwmdu Caravan and Campsite have acquired the official UK tourism and hospitality industry standard mark ‘We’re Good To Go’. The certification marks that ‘we’ (Cwmdu Caravan and Campsite) have worked hard to follow government and industry Covid-19 guidelines. The certification sets out a process to maintain levels of cleanliness and aid in social distancing for all customers alike while visiting the site.
The We’re Good To Go’ industry-standard mark was developed in partnership with the National tourist organisations; VisitEngland, VisitWales, VisitScotland, & Tourism Northern Ireland with the objective of providing a ‘Ring of Confidence’ across all sectors of tourism and hospitality.
As stated by the ‘We’re Good To Go’ certification board, updates/changes in guidelines are provided to the Cwmdu Caravan and Campsite general manager when necessary to confirm all requirements are adhered to! Periodical checks will be performed by the association in ‘brief’ by a person or by telephone.
Actions Taken
- Sanitiser stations located around the shared facilities and shop,
- Anti-bacterial spray available at water taps,
- Hand washing guideline posters are visible around the site,
- Cleaning products available in toilets and showers for guests to clean the area before and after usage,
- Protective screen in reception,
- Contactless card payments accepted,
- 2 Metre distancing in shop, reception and communal areas,
- Balance payment available online to avoid face to face check-in,
- Stringent cleaning procedures for heavy contact areas,
