Walking Routes Through The Campsite

Cwmdu campsite is ideally situated for walks through the National Park. There are numerous walking routes through the campsite and on into the hills. From our gates you can walk up Pen Gloch Y Pibwr and join the Beacons Way Footpath to Crickhowell if you fancy a challenge. There are also walks to Tretower if you’d like to visit the historic Court and Castle. Additionally, various routes up the mountains surrounding us, such as Pentir, are easily accessible from our gates.

This week we have organised for the National Park to update the public footpath routes through the campsite. The old stiles are gone and have been replaced by brand new gates. No more climbing over wobbly stiles! We hope that this will make access out of the site to the surrounding public footpaths much more accessible. For those with dogs this should be especially helpful.

Stop in to reception when you arrive and borrow one of our walking maps. Our walking information will help you explore the beautiful scenery that surrounds the campsite during your visit. Lend a map with instructions to explore the local landscape and public footpaths. Everyone from beginners to experienced walkers can navigate our area with ease.

For keen walkers, Crickhowell is having a walking festival in March. Sign up to one of the guided walks on offer during the festival which cater to all abilities. For more information about the festival which takes place from 7th-15th March, visit the Walking Festival Website.
