Meet our producers! Here are Arthur and Madi- founders of ‘The Crafty Pickle Co’.
About
Arthur and Madi developed a mutual love for sharing jars of sauerkraut and in-depth chats about food, over endless pints, whilst studying for their master’s degrees in nutrition at Aberdeen University! Here began the idea for ‘The Crafty Pickle Co’ and a realization that they could create a business combining their major passions: nutrition, fermented foods, science, and sustainability.

An Environmental Focus
Fermentation allows The Crafty Pickle Co to preserve fresh produce, so we can enjoy it for longer! Arthur and Madi have researched that currently 1.3 million tonnes of edible food is wasted each year, with 1/3 of food produced never leaving the farm. So, as food-loving nutritionists, they hate to see it go to waste. They are food rescuers, and we love them for it!

Our Shop
We proudly stock the Crafty Pickle Co in our on-site shop! We are open daily from 9-11am and 5-7pm. Come and see us and treat yourself to some incredible fermented goods!

HOLIDAY COTTAGES INFORMATION
4* Dog-Friendly Holiday Cottages in the Brecon Beacons, 4 miles from Crickhowell and all within 50 yards of Cwmdu Campsite.
We have 2 cosy cottages available to book:
- Efail Isaf – ‘Old Smithy’ – Sleeps 6 in three bedrooms. Cosy cottage with log burner and picturesque garden and panoramic views of the National Park. Infant facilities are available.
- Efail Bach – ‘Little Smithy’ – One-bed cottage with large shower and separate large bath. Fantastic views from the bedroom, living room and garden. BBQ included. Infant facilities are available.

FIRE AND ICE INFORMATION
Imagine a Fire & Ice experience like no other! Rest and Rejuvenate peacefully in a Nordic wood-fired Sauna & Ice bath with a Scenic mountain view looking out across the Welsh Brecon Beacons National Park, also known as (Bannau Brycheiniog).
Guests can visit in many ways, camp or Glamp at Cwmdu Campsite, stay in one of our four Holiday Cottages, or stop by for an independent session.
