About
All Anthony’s bees are of the Buckfast breed, which is renowned for its high honey yield!
Natural Honey
All of Anthony’s honey is 100% and just as the bees make it- they are doing exactly what they would be doing in the wild! The only difference that Llangattock Apriaries does, is that they give the bees a home and this stops them from swarming, and harvesting the goodness they produce.
They can’t follow every bee, so their honey is technically not ‘organic’ however, the environment is perfect and there are no commerical crops near by- the perks of living in the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains, eh!

Their Hives and Making Process
Anthony has other hives in Monmouthshire and Herefordshire, taking the total to more than 300! He has to check them on a regular basis to ensure the conditions inside are right and to see whether the wooden frames which bear the honeycomb are full. When they are, they are spun to extract the honey, which is then strained through a fine gauze into sterile containers ready for sale.

HOLIDAY COTTAGES INFORMATION
We now have 4-holiday cottages you can book throughout the year!
Ty Ffynon Loft is a newly renovated loft apartment next door to Cwmdu Campsite in Wales. It offers stunning views from the garden, an easy walk to our local pub, and is dog-friendly. Perfect for solo travelers or couples.
Efail Bach is a one-bedroom cottage, with stunning views from the garden. A large comfortable bathroom with a separate bath, and a large shower. Located right next to the campsite if you have family camping.
Efail Isaf is a three-bedroom cottage that sleeps 6 in a quaint old-blacksmiths house (Old Smithy). This house has a wonderful garden for a family BBQ or sunbathing (we do some lovely weather through the summer!). It also has a log burner for cosy nights in front of the fire.
