Campground Brecon Beacons

As a campground in the Brecon Beacons we enjoy letting our customers and many visitors know about the local footpath.

Cwmdu Campsite is situated directly along a footpath towards Pen Gloch Y Pibwr  which is beautiful during the spring and summer months. With impressive views across the valley and a path that leads over the mountain into Crickhowell the options are great.

The best part about the many paths available, is that they can take you anywhere around the Brecon Beacons National Park. There are paths that can even lead you from the campsite to Pen y Fan. Please note this would be a quite long walk so we wouldn’t recommend unless you’re doing so for a specific reason.

This past weekend, Pen y Fan received some much deserved editorial space on WalesOnline. The recent article ‘Hundreds of people climb Pen y Fan to catch glimpse of stunning sunrise‘ really captured how beautiful seeing the sunrise on top of Pen Y Fan can be. As they mentioned, hundreds of adventures set off in the early hours of the morning just witness the sunrise. What an experience it is especially this time of year with its lightly powdered peaks and calming scenery. Cwmdu Campsite welcome all aspiring mounting climbers to use the campsite as a base to climb the many mountains within the local area.
