Glamping & Log Pods
Ever wondered what Brecon Beacons glamping is like? Here at Cwmdu Campsite, we’re into our 5th season of glamping and our 2 pods have been incredibly popular with our guests over the past few years. Last year, we also introduced a brand new Shepherd’s hut which offers even more of a glamping experience, with a private bathroom and even bigger decking with tables, chairs, and a fire pit included.
Our pods now offer a BBQ with charcoal included, a full-size fridge with freezer drawer, kettle, microwave, crockery, cutlery, outdoor and indoor table, and chairs, parking for up to two cars, and are dog friendly!
Shepherds Huts
Meanwhile, our Shepherd’s hut, which is also dog friendly, offers a shower, two basins, and a flushing toilet inside, a kitchen with a hot plate, kettle, fridge, crockery, cutlery, blankets, tables and chairs inside and outside the hut, and a custom made, super comfortable day bed for you to enjoy the spectacular views from the highest point on our campsite.
Made for those wishing to indulge in beautiful scenic views, trek the many trails, or simply spend time relaxing in the Brecon Beacons. Nestled at the base of Pen Gloch Y Pibwr in the Black Mountains, Brecon Beacons National Park, you’ll find our glamping pod situated on Cwmdu’s 4-star campsite.
Additionally, you’ll find yourself 24 miles east of Pen Y Fan, which in recent years has become an outdoor experience bucket list must-do. The options for exploring and sightseeing from this location are endless.
The Glamping Pod is located perfectly at the site. Offered is a beautiful rear view up to Pen Gloch Y Pibwr, and a frontal view down the picturesque valley many campers visitors have become so fond of. With the ability to sleep 2 individuals comfortably, it will surely be a hit with those new to Glamping.
Each Glamping Pod will come with a convenient table that converts into a double bed sleeping two people. Please note: Bedding is not included. We provide a double mattress but if you are bringing a third person you must bring an air bed or similar for the floor.

HOLIDAY COTTAGES INFORMATION
We now have 4-holiday cottages you can book throughout the year!
Ty Ffynon Loft is a newly renovated cost apartment next door to Cwmdu Campsite. It offers stunning views from the garden, an easy walk to our local pub, and is dog friendly. Perfect for solo travelers or couples.
Efail Bach is a one-bedroom cottage, also with stunning views from the garden, right next to the campsite if you have family camping, and a large comfortable bathroom with a separate bath and large shower.
Efail Isaf is a three-bedroom cottage that sleeps 6 in a quaint old-black smiths house (Old Smithy). This house has a wonderful garden for a family BBQ or sunbathing (we do some lovely weather through the summer!). It also has a log burner for cosy nights in front of the fire.
