ASTRO CAMP
After missing 3 camps due to Covid, we now have Astro Camp returning back to its bi-annual schedule.
Cwmdu is now acclaimed, nationwide, for its “dark skies”, which is the perfect place to erect a telescope and view the night sky for Astro Camp.
The Baker Street Irregular Astronomers are now old friends and regularly host stargazing events at the campsite. Astronomy camp has been ever-popular, and an incredible way to meet new people and astronomers, whilst learning about the skies above us.
Spectacular images get taken at Astro Camp each year and we thank Dr Justyn Regini for sharing the ones shown here. These “star parties” have appeared on BBC 2 “Sky At Night” programmes.
