New to us and new to you! This weekly walk is perfect if you fancy a walk with beautiful, mountain views but don’t fancy heading all the way up a mountain.
The New Walk
Moderate Walk 4.21 Miles 2.5 Hours 500 ft
- Walk to the bottom left of the campsite, through the little gate and cross the main road opposite and go over the little bridge 1.
- Turn left after the bridge and follow the lane to the junction 2. Turn left at this junction, and then follow the lane to the next junction.
- At this junction 3, follow straight on to the bridle path.
- Follow the bridle path, and when you meet the stream 4, continue to follow the path to the right.
- Follow the bridle path, which then ends at the lane amongst some houses. Continue along the lane to the junction 5.
- Turn right at the junction, then up and down the lane to the next junction 6. Cross the stile opposite you, up into the field.
- Follow the track up. You will then reach a farmyard 7, turn right to walk through the farmyard.
- Walk over the stile, beside the metal 5 bar gate, into the field 8.
- Follow the fields down to point 9. You should have gone through one small gate, then over two stiles, through another small gate, then a big one, over a stone wall, down to the stream, over the stile at the stream and then the second stile into the big open fields, before meeting the final stile onto the road!
- Once at point 9, turn left at the junction. Head up the lane, to point 10. There will be a stile on your right, cross over here into the fields and follow the hedge, down towards the little bridge before the ‘Farmers Arms Pub’ 11.
- Follow past the pub (or pop in for a drink!) and then turn right at the junction, by church 12.
- You will recognize this lane, from when you arrived at the campsite! Follow this lane, until you reach back to the campsite entrance B.
We hope you enjoyed this walk!
